| Mahindra Satyam Associates have been volunteering at Deep Griha Society in Pune and teaching the students English vocabulary and grammar. |

| The students were given a task of learning at least 35 words each from the dictionary every week and each candidate was asked to tell five words along with the meaning. The candidates were also asked to prepare a short essay on an individual who is considered as their idol, and read the essay in the class. The candidates wrote their essays after researching on the internet. |

| For the next week, five topics were decided and to conduct role play on the topics. The topics were Hospitals, Malls, Banks, Sales Person and Call centre. The idea behind this exercise was to teach the candidates on how to deal with customers, the etiquette on telephone conversation etc. The candidates were divided into groups for this exercise with a volunteer guiding them.

| On 7th May, 2011, five Volunteers from Mahindra Satyam—Indira Jada, Ravi Kakani, Mayuri Deshpande, Avinash Singh—accompanied by two Mahindra Satyam Foundation associates, Gangadhar Rao and Sai Kumar, volunteered at the L V Prasad Eye Institute. Each Associate contributed two hours of their time and recorded Text Books in digital Audio Library of Eye Institute. The Digital Audio library of LV Prasad Eye Institute records text books as well as general knowledge books to facilitate visually challenged to listen and write academic and competitive examinations. This will help not only visually challenged in Andhra radish but also at the national level. |
