The story of different tools helping FIFA take decisions

The FIFA World Cup Head Quarters is where all the divisions of FIFA operate from during the World Cup. This is the place where the entire decision making happens during the progress of the event whether it is penalizing players for unsporting behavior or referees for bad decisions. Also the Marketing team here tracks each and every game for any infringements on marketing or advertising rights at stadiums and Fan Zones.


Sitting at HQ but keeping track on daily basis happenings across the country and the ten different venues seems like a tough job but is made easy through the FIFA Reporting Tool. The tool allows the venue general coordinators to input answers to specific questions in the tool regarding the venue, the match, including any untoward incidents at the venue. Building brand IT through Sports

“So what’s the big deal with FIFA?”, quipped a 25-something young lady who seemed to be slightly nonchalant about our association. I could have chosen to ignore her question with a polite smile but then decided that why just she, any brand that is today thinking to lift itself above the clutter needs to decode how association with important sports events can really help in not just branding, but in generating pride. Today I would like to introduce you to Ramakanth Devineni who is one of the oldest associate of Mahindra Satyam working on the FIFA project in South Africa. He was parachuted into this project in March 2008. It’s been over two years that he is in South Africa and he has been doing a very critical role, which we will know more about in details during the course of conversation.

Today, Ramakanth has reached to the stage where skills of Ramakanth are totally in requirement of the client and the client appreciates the value which Ramakanth brings in to this particular project.
